For the THIRTY-FOURTH ANNUAL Yosemite Valley winter trip,
we had students ages 18, 19, 20, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 26, 28, 28, 30, and 35.
Some camped,
some shared a tent cabin
some shared a very nice hotel room.
We all met at the Yosemite Lodge early on Saturday morning and formed groups for activities – and then re-formed the groups as people made up their minds about what they wanted to do. (Oops, this photo is missing a few people.)
Some took the free bus to the ski resort.
Some did the trail to the top of upper Yosemite fall,
The trail had a lot of snow:
and great views of Half Dome and Yosemite valley:
and halfway along the hike, a view of upper Yosemite Fall and the snowcone that builds up below it:
here, at the top:
As always on these trips we expected heavy precipitation and had great waterproof rain gear
and really good boots
Details about how to choose the right clothes are here.
and there are also always many opportunities for photo taking
El Capitan is in the background of this group photo:

Where were they when they got that great picture in Yosemite?
Where can I take a photo that looks like the one on a Yosemite postcard I just bought?
Places to take photos of Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls and Staircase Falls.
